Delivery

 

We employ several third party courier services to deliver products to our customers.

The delivery costs you see when checking out come directly from the couriers, who base their prices on:

  1. The total weight, size and type of products ordered
  2. The delivery service level selected
  3. The delivery address

We don't make any money off delivery charges. The only reason they exist is due to us having to pay our couriers.

If you need Express service/next working day delivery then we must receive your order before 1200 hrs on the preceding working day.

Express service/next working day delivery for certain products (such as custom printed balloons) is not always possible. This is because certain products need some time to be manufactured. We might also need to order materials in. For products like, please give us 7 working days for Express service, or up to 10 working days for Economy.

Helium products can be despatched to mainland UK addresses only - and are not included in any promotional offers - including "free delivery".

Our couriers do not tend to operate on Bank Holidays.

If we foresee any issues with getting your stuff to you, we'll endeavour to make contact by the close of the next working day.

Spend more than £60 and standard delivery is FREE to mainland UK addresses except for orders that include products such as custom printed balloons or helium rental/delivery charges.


In addition to the above, please ensure that you arrange for your helium products to be delivered to the location at which helium inflation will take place.

Allow 2 working days above what you need in terms of helium delivery dates in case the couriers have any issues.  We use the best and most reliable companies we can to deliver helium, but there is very little that we can do once the ball is in their park, so to speak.

If you don't take into account the above then you run the risk of a delay to your order, or to your helium being delivered after the required date.  Banter Balloons cannot accept responsibility and are unable to offer refunds in situations like this.

Each BOC cylinder has a barcode on it.  The courier logs this barcode upon delivery and upon collection.  It is essential that the same BOC cylinder that you arrange to be delivered gets returned.  If you swap or fail to return the cylinders, the courier will end up charging you.

The couriers told us to mention that "Helium rental cylinders can only be delivered to mainland UK Business addresses. If a residential address is given, we cannot guarantee the delivery of the helium cylinders & inflators.  Please ensure the address to which rented helium cylinders will be delivered is located either on a main road or at a location with sufficiently wide access to enable a large delivery vehicle to get through.  Where possible, we will attempt to book your order in but no guarantees can be made."

If things go completely tits-up, the couriers at least guarantee that your order will be with you within 30 days.  If they totally drop the ball and fail to deliver within 30 days, you will be contacted so that another time for delivery can be arranged. If this is no good then you can cancel the order.

Please note that the Express, Speedy & Global services (aka fast or international) are not guaranteed to arrive within the time frame stipulated by the courier services.  They have to include this clause in case there is a really bad snow storm or something like that which would stop the trucks from getting through.

Between ourselves and the couriers, we do everything that we can to deliver everything to the correct address within the working days specified in the service level requested - but - neither us or our couriers can be held responsible if you give us incorrect/incomplete delivery information (addresses or access times etc).  If something goes wrong because of incorrect information, we cannot offer any refund.  When you order, pretty please make sure that you give us full, accurate and complete delivery details - including postcode.

If you give us the wrong country or location for the delivery address, and the courier charges more for this than you have paid, the order won't be processed or despatched until any additional payment required has been made.

If an incorrect country or location is selected for the delivery address, and you've been overcharged, we'll make every effort to get in touch to sort it.

Deliveries are no longer the responsibility of Banter Balloons once delivery has been made to the address supplied to us.  If the items are accepted/signed for by someone other than the intended recipient -and these items are not passed on - we cannot take any responsibility for this, or offer a refund.

The couriers usually require a signature on receipt.  If the couriers try to make a delivery but not successful (e.g. the recipient is not present to sign for the items) a re-delivery will be attempted either the same day or the next available working day where possible.  No credits or refunds will be offered so please ensure someone is available at the given address to sign for the items.
